I am starting to seriously disagree with the whole amalgam danger issue. I had two amalgams removed from my molar areas and replaced with composite resin. Somehow, someway the removal process caused a dental neuralgia that has been a living nightmare for me for 3 years with no relief. Root canals and extractions followed as well as neuropathic pain meds. If I never had those amalgams removed(due to the scare tactics the wholistic dentistry business uses) I would not be in the position I am in today and would not be in pain. My grandfather died at 91 years of age with several metal fillings. My dentist who is 71 years old has a mouth full of them and he is still live and well. Something to think about? The more you drill into a tooth the more problems can be realized. Leave the fillings in and get on with your life.
