Meridian Tooth Chart

A Tooth Meridian Chart shows you further that the mouth and body are interconnected. Problems in the teeth can have a direct influence on another organ (or organs) in the body.

No matter what you think about Chinese medicine, acupuncture, meridians (energy channels or pathways), and chi (energy), you should give this ancient method of diagnosis and treatment a chance. It has been used for thousands of years and is still used and taught to students all over the world.

If you believe in this work or not, take a few seconds to review this meridian tooth chart and see if you notice a link between your teeth and other parts of your body.

Unfortunately, holistic dentistry and looking in the mouth is typically a “last resort” approach to treating chronic illnesses. We at the Center For Natural Dentistry will gladly help people achieve health, though we prefer people come to us first BEFORE problems or symptoms persist.

Should You Believe In A Meridian Tooth Chart?

Here is what is said on’s site:

“Looking at a meridian tooth chart might be a fun way to while away an afternoon online, but it’s not a good idea to put too much stock into the information you find on one. The American Dental Association only stands by dental practices that have been scientifically validated and proven safe. When it comes to tooth charts, there is no scientific evidence proving that, for instance, having a cavity in one of your molars will cause knee pain or pancreatitis. “

  7. Update on the root canaled tooth: Thr dentist said not only was there an abscess, but also a cyst that he removed! That is scary because that could have turned cancerous probably. I’m feeling better about the choice of having that tooth extracted. ? That makes me nervous about the other root canaled tooth that has seemed to be okay since I had it done 4 years ago. But, the idea of having it extracted as well and using the live wisdom tooth in it’s place sounds like a good idea. Especially since I don’t know if that root canaled molar could slowly be having an issue and I just not know it yet. ?

I am a holistic dentist. Root canals cause all sorts of things including osteosarcoma and mental retardation. The research is here to prove it.

    • Wow this is scary

      Dr. Stafford,

I completely agree with your opinion. As a holistic dentist myself, I’ve been conducting research based off of many cases of anterior guidance found in people with cancer. Therefore, it is my recommendation to all my patients that their canine teeth be removed at a young age and replaced with all ceramic (NOT TITANIUM CANCER CAUSING METAL) implants.

Keep fighting the good fight as we have much to prove to this evil dental profession.

      Dr. Stafford,

I had an implant on #19…..problems with speech, chewing, numbness, now developing into full fledged swallowing issues and actual starvation with not being able to chew/eat. I am totally baffled if my symptoms are the tooth implant related………OR if it is ALS that the Dr.’s are thinking about…..Lou Gehring’s disease. Do you make a correlation between tooth #19 and neurological issues? i was scanned this week by an SRT program, and results show, blood infection, parasites, and major major thyroid issues. The thryoid issue I feel is real, I am always chilled to the bone……..I am starting to have other symptoms more related to ALS…….hands don’t work right, items slip through my hands and I cannot open even the simplest of jars.
Please reply if you have time!

that was 20 years ago…today we know more well we being anyone not blinded by western medicine.
my parents turns out were being attacked by very aggressive mites, that would go all the way to the bone, and in the spine I imagine is where the neuro and coordination problems result. sounds nuts I know…but if you find the frequency that kills follicle mites, you will see that same frequency treats ALS
ANYWAY GET ON YOUTUBE AND PLAY SOME RIFE FREQUENCIES FOR MITES! you start getting better! better yet get a rife machine because chances are your problem is one it can handle

I also hsve thyroid issues , am feeling cold, have neurological issues, bowel issues. I am also struggling with opening jars and things and my terth and gums have just disintegrated. Very scary stuff. I really hope you manage to get well.

Hey Colleen, just wanted to say after reading your symptoms, I think I have a pretty conclusive diagnosis for you. I hate to say it but I think you have contracted chronic multiple yearoma shlangerhans disease (aka you’re getting fucking old). Pretty much everyone will contract this disease unless they die first or their name is Benjamin Button. My grandmother has old teeth, can’t open jars due to arthritis, and constantly turns the thermostat up. Sounds a lot like you. Except she don’t give a fuck. Good luck getting old.

      • Well I think you guys proved my point. You are all mentally retarded. Probably from root canals. Probably not. I’m not a fucking dentist. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Dumbasses.

Where are you located? What do you think about titanium implants? The dentist put it in right after he cleaned the abscess and the tissue healed around it?

      • And the tissue healed up around it?? That’s insane!!! Almost like he’s probably had some training and it’s been done millions of times in the last 30 years. You ever thought about just reading an evidence-based paper? Or would you rather believe what your crazy co-worker Tammy said about that Netflix documentary?

  9. Hi, I have a couple root canaled teeth. One was due to a dentist drilling past my gum line and ruining that tooth! That aforementioned tooth was root canaled by another dentist. Since August 2017, I have had an abscess above it. Another dentist did confirm there is an infection and said it was due to an incomplete root canal. He’s going to extract the tooth tomorrow and put in a bridge. I figured it’s best to just get it extracted instead of keeping it and him cutting into my gums and bone to remove the left over portion of the root. The other root canaled tooth has been problem free. It’s the molar in front of one of my wisdom teeth that are coming in. Would I be better having that one exatected as well and having the wisdom tooth take it’s place or just keep it and my wisdom tooth? which it is cutting into the back of my mouth, but isn’t causing pain like it was at first when it was coming in. I would love to put that wisdom tooth to use and eliminate the toxic root canaled tooth that’s in front of it.

    • Khushboo Says: March 19, 2018 at 8:39 pm

Have you checked your chloroform levels? Sometimes if they are off, it can cause you to start having irrational thoughts like extracting a tooth that you state has been trouble free. Also, you may want your primary care doctor to go ahead and order up about ten thousand dollars of worthless labs to see if you need to start eating more kale chips and fermented yogurt. Better yet, see if your chiropractor will start you on a regimen of swallowing vegan newspaper clippings. They are great for digestion and helping the environment. If your labs come back with an extra chromosome at number 21, then I would strongly suggest getting some biotene mouthrinse for mouth breathing and start 3 hours of hot yoga every day at 4am. IF you do not do this you WILL DIE!!!!

I had problems with my teeth for years and have had three dentists recommend extractions. The last one wanted to remove 9 teeth. I went to a highly recommended periodontist who said bull shit. We just need to clean and disinfect the gums, and take good care of hygiene. I stopped eating sugar, and started brushing, flossing and mouthwashing (with drugstore alcohol-based mouthwash) after every meal, and seeing the periodontist for deep cleaning regularly. That was about 15 years ago. Still got all my teeth, and I’m doing fine.

  12. I was told by the Pedi dentist that my 5 year old needs 10 fillings and a root canal. Nearly passed out with the news as we eat a very clean diet spring and summer were 85% raw vegan fall and winter cooked vegan.
Im at a loss of what to do. Weve been swishing with coconut oil for about a month now twice daily for ab 15 minute’s. As well as topically using clove oil on the cavities.
No big signs of improvement though. His appointments are coming up and im sweating bullets. From reading this it sounds like extracting the tooth they want to root canal is a better idea? Should we keep on with this diet and our cleaning routine for the cavities??

    • Supplementing with vit k2 and d3 are massivily supportive and calcium citrate in child suitable doses.

      • Would suggest you ask a doc to order some labs first, to establish baseline. Not just the usual ones like basic metabolic profile and CBC… but also a D25 level (the calcium would be included in those basic blood tests). Then if it’s below normal range, supplement with D3 (which is recognized by your body, while D2 is synthetic and harder to assimilate). Vitamin D is fat soluble, you should make sure of blood levels, it’s hard to overdose on D3, but would rather you err on the side of safety because too much can cause serious issues and this is a child, and s/he might be taking something they don’t really need. And after taking D3 (not D2) for a few months, test it again to confirm your child’s in a therapeutic range. And Maeve is correct about getting calcium as citrate: it’s only about 27% bioavailable as opposed to carbonate, which is about 40% bioavailable, but it’s more absorbable without the presence of stomach acid or vitamin D. D and calcium work together, but make sure of your levels. When you take calcium, it’s also wise to consider phosphorus, magnesium, K2 and K3, strontium, silica, vanadium, because they work together. One supplement I’ve found that has it all and works, is made by New Chapter, called Take Care Bone Strength. It’s vegan, easy to comply with, has everything your kid would need in it. Also: CoQ 10 is a specific that can help with tooth and gum disease, so you might consider that supplement, as well. And please, about raw foods: some foods need to be cooked to be able to be better assimilated by your body, don’t be a purist and go to extremes. Do everything in moderation. Do some more research first. Root veggies, tomatoes, tough greens like collards, kale need to be cooked. Your child is still growing and has higher needs than an adult. And the swish-and-spit regimen you’re already following won’t do any harm, and might help, so yeah, keep it up if your kid is willing to comply. Good luck!

    • Elle Macinata Says: January 16, 2018 at 9:14 am

Hello Becca, I’m sorry to hear of the dental problems you have had. However, there is a possibility to turn things around naturally. It depends on how far gone the cavities are, and if the tooth needing a root canal is a permanent tooth. Your son sounds young to have permanent teeth so … Anyway, please look at the book, “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” by Weston A. Price, D.D.S. Book review link, .He was a dentist to did research that got to the bottom of tooth decay and many other dental problems. His books are now written and accepted by dentists that are called “biological dentists” or “holistic dentists.”
The situation you have is unusual. Children’s permanent teeth usually erupt beginning at age 6. Usually the top front teeth are the first permanent teeth to come in. How is it your son at age 5 already has these teeth? and they have had time to decay so completely that they require a root canal procedure??? Does your dentist propose to do a “root canal” on a baby tooth?? I’m thinking that they REALLY DON’Tt require that! That would mean that your current dentist should be REPLACED by a biological dentist. You need a NEW DENTIST! Cavities can be stopped and the tooth regrown in children. Weston Price demonstrated that and you can read about it online.
Another aspect of your situation is … it sounds as if your boy has a problem with his diet. “Vegan” is probably the most difficult diet for a human to be healthy on. The vegan options are lacking in high quality fats. Without these fats, the minerals are NOT absorbed. If you feed grains, you must know or learn that as grains are chewed … they turn into SUGAR in the mouth. In fact, vegetables such as potatoes, corn, peas, beans (all beans), most all fruit, juices (fruit & vegetable) are either starch (which transforms to sugar IN THE MOUTH during chewing) or they are some form of sugar (fructose is the worst), and they have a TERRIBLE effect on teeth. Green vegetables are also carbs, but these do not transform as quickly into sugars. Nevertheless … bacteria are not the root cause of cavities. Poor nutrition is the root cause. I say this because it has be observed by many that people who ate a natural diet and didn’t brush their teeth AT ALL could have NO cavities. And, ones who ate a depleted diet, and brushed after every meal had continuing cavities.

Vegetables such as cilantro, bok choy, brussel sprouts, celery, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, avocado, kale, collards, spinach, cabbage, radish, butternut squash, sweet potato, yam, and pumpkin are the best for your overall health. .
Many vegetables which folks commonly use (such as tomatoes) contain substances called lectins (gluten is a well-known lectin). These lectins are made by plants to protect themselves from being eaten. They are very common in beans, seeds or nuts (lentils, quinoa, even rice). They have a negative on the gut and you can read a great book about it written by a vegan doctor, Dr. Steven Gundry, MD. This guy is stellar, he practices through the 7th Day Adventist hospital at Loma Linda, and his book is a NY Times best seller. It’s called The Plant Paradox. Here is an Amazon link, .
I would let your son lose that tooth that the dentist wants to do a root canal on. But first, get a better dentist.
Here is an article that should give you lots of hope … .
One last thought. I love animals and do not condone modern factory farms that torture the animals that they misfeed, mis house, and then kill badly. I will never eat one of those creatures flesh. However, I do consume animals that are pasture raised, or wild, as well as wild caught fish. Most all animals (even ones we consider to be herbivores, do kill and eat other animals. For instance, deer have been observed killing fish that are stranded in shallow ponds. The reason they don’t eat them more often is that it is extremely difficult for a deer to catch a fish unless the fish is extremely restricted. For a long time it was thought that monkeys and apes were fruitarians and many of these animals had sad deaths in zoos when they were fed only fruit. They eat birds, bird eggs, and other small creatures that they find in trees, as well as insects. Humans think of themselves as “above” the animals and in some this leads to thinking that we can use these animals any way we want. Other humans think that because we are above the animals we should be kind and not eat them. Well, I believe both are wrong. I believe we should eat the weak animals that would die (as the native americans did, when they culled the herds of buffalo), or the stupider animals that are easily caught ( not the savvy ones who avoid all human contact). In other cases, pasture raised, natural animals such as cattle, buffalo, turkeys, chickens … all who have been given a good life … followed by a fast, painless death. In this circle of life all life eats other life. Our bodies ARE animal bodies and they must obey the laws of this planet with respect to needing certain nutrients. That does not mean that you cannot work for much improvement for the lives of all animals. It really sounds like your boy is needing stronger nutrition. I would also recommend you consult a good “natural” nutritionist, how a commercial hospital style “dietician.”
You did not mention what part of the country you live in so I cannot make any recommendations. The very best to you and your boy!

    • That sounds a little crazy. A five-year-old doesn’t even have permanent teeth yet. There’s no deep root to do a root canal on.

      • umm actually they do. this would called a pulpectomy or pulpotomy. your child has a bunch of cavities because you are probably using some crap toothpaste with no fluoride and reading dumb stuff on the internet like this page. My advice would be to check out the ADA’s stance on these issues since they base their opinions on evidence based dentistry. I feel sorry for people who fall for this kind of holistic junk. Actually I just feel sorry for your kid since now they need a bunch of dental work because mommy wants to listen to some crazy Asian over literally thousands of other dentists. Good luck!

        • First of all, if she lives in a municipality, they probably already have fluoridated tap water, which is not only more than enough, but also proven unnecessary for healthy individuals. Studies done fairly recently statistically show a negligible difference in cavity rates of fluoridated versus non fluoridated patients, but the ADA refuses to change their party line despite the science. Many cities have already stopped using fluoride. And a dentist being “Asian” has nothing to do with the price of cream cheese. You’re very angry. I would suggest she find a dentist who combines Western traditional techniques, and holistic techniques. Even if she has to travel. Holostic dentists have a professional national organization, find them. I would also be concerned about the child’s general health, and whatever extreme fad diet she foisted upon him. You and I don’t know the real story. Find a decent pediatrician and make sure nothing else needs attention, because yes, the teeth do reflect other conditions in the body. For all we know, the kid isn’t getting enough protein or B6. We just don’t know what’s really going on, or what subclinical conditions s/he has. I’d prefer she go to a doc, the “horse’s mouth,” rather than getting unreliable info online, which is the “horse’s a**.” Most of the stuff people say online is inaccurate and unreliable information, even irresponsible sometimes. I hope she finds a doc willing to work with them. The kid is suffering. They need to find out what’s going on. I just want her to remember that supplements are drugs, and are uncontrolled substances. Work with docs, get some labs before taking anything.

        • The ADA still says that almagam fillings are safe to put in our mouths, yet prior to placing or removing, Mercury is considered a neurotoxin AND a biological hazard!! The ADA is subjected to insurance companies that do not want to have to replace everyone’s fillings, because, they are indeed slowly killing us, and would be VERY expensive to swallow their pride about their guidelines they have abided by since the 50’s.. So, go ahead and believe that the ADA is completely unbiased. I am not saying that this child doesn’t need dental care. Maybe he didn’t get a toothpaste with fluoride. But our water has enough fluoride in it to take care of our teeth. The dentist could be cooked as hell too. I never had a cavity until 13 yo, and the family dentist said I had eight cavities. My parents didn’t question it. Years later subsequent dentists have told me 35 years later, that these “cavities” are literally so small still, that they question why I had them placed. Read about how dental conditions affect our bodiies. Root canals actually encapsulate a DEAD tooth. What other medical service leaves a DEAD part in the body. No one! They say that it is cleaned of bacteria, but actually aerobic bacteria become anaerobic and flourish once encapsulated off. A person is better removing the tooth and getting an implant, not that much more money, and no risk of systemic infections, that no one can seem to figure out where it’s coming from. I swear, the medical arena seems to dismiss how our teeth and health coincide.

Teeth and the meridians in our bodies is real! There is more to understanding healthcare and dental care through the eyes of western medicine!

          • I figured they had to be related. Back in August of 2015 I had my lower left second molar removed. Ever since then I’ve struggled with erectile dysfunction. I used to be able to get hard just watchin Judge Judy, but after that toxic tooth got taken out, I couldn’t perform even with my sister in the room. I’m ok now that I got a prescription, but you can bet I ain’t takin out anymore teeth that might be dick-related.

        • Wow- and you think fluoride is a good thing? ???

        • Yeah Chris. Dentists are great and really have your well being in mind when they drill and fill with mercury amalgams. Let your ignorance lead to less than bliss as you mature and discover the error of your childlike beliefs.

          • Fight the amalgams you must. Cancer and liberalism they do cause. Unimportant are science and reason. Let the farce be with you.

          • Susan L. Lets forget the 60 years of research and systematic reviews that support the safety of amalgam use in dental fillings and lets use the common sense argument. The most mercury exposure from amalgams is seen during placement or removal of amalgam using a rotary bur at 200,000 rpms. For the past 150 years, tens of thousands of Dentists and dental teams have been placing and removing amalgam every single day, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week all year long. Explain why there are no records or patterns of mercury poisoning in Dentists or Dental teams? Stop believing in voodoo and just look at the science and use some good ole fashion common sense.

Then why are you here? You are a troll! If you keep your mouth clean by not using toothpaste just using pink sea salt and baking soda you you will not have problems. The problem is our government does everything it can to get us sick and cause health problems. Find out what your diet lacks, floss every day, use sea salt and research healing cavities naturally. Yes you can restore your teeth but you need to eat good raw food like fruits and veggies! Dairy, meat and sugar are what causes all the health issues.

        • Wow, you’re a racist first of all (calling out Asians). Secondly, fluoride has been proven not to be effective in preventing tooth decay. So what would you say to all the African/Asian/Latinos who have no fluoridated water, yet have good teeth (most times, a whole lot better than those in first-world countries where they have fluoridated water?

        • karma holons Says: March 9, 2019 at 4:19 pm

you do understand that western medicine has been going to +the little Asians” and several other old world medicine men for recent advice and information to assist them.
that the number 1 killer in the US is death by medicine?
that treating the symptom doesn’t do more than plugging a hole from leaking…it eventually springs up someplace else under the pressure.
that floride is TOXIC….lol….really toxic…in fact I imagine that its why you think your so much smarter than everyone else here….but guess what…your not….like nobody even thinks doctors have a clue how to actually heal anyone anymore….everyone I know who sees a dr goes back more and more and mmore in fact…strange methods no? and actually fungus causes that rapid type decay in a kids mouth not moms being natural einstien

    • Take your child to a holistic/biological dentist real soon, even if it involves traveling a few hours. Mine is over an hour’s drive away from my home but well worth it. DO NOT tell your child’s current pediatric dentist that you are changing your child’s dentist and that you are seeking the advice of a holistic/biological dentist. The holistic/biological dentist does not have to be a pediatric dentist.

One thing is for certain NEVER allow any mercury in the child’s mouth (or yours either) and if the child has any mercury/amalagam in his mouth have it removed immediately by this particular type of dentist. Unfortunately, most dental insurance does not cover mercury removal. Also Google how to tell if a dentist is really holistic/biological or just claiming to be so that your child gets the best possible and safest treatment. Do your research. Mercury in the mouth weakens and suppresses the immune system. Mainstream dentists will tell you otherwise but don’t believe them. Go to a holistic/biological dentist even if you’re out of pocket for costs. You will not regret it.

    • you make your 5 year old swish with coconut oil for 15 minutes? what is wrong with you people? last time I checked coconut oil has sugar in it….

      • Coconut oil actually does have antiseptic qualities. The “sugars” are not sucrose, and are negligible. We’re talking about unrefined organic coconut oil, not candy. But making a kid swish for fifteen minutes? She needs to find out what’s really going on before trying home remedies, which may just be delaying diagnosis and treatment the child really needs. At least, get a second and even a third opinion in her town. For all we know, the kid is a special needs child who can’t comply with oral hygiene, and she might have no better choice than extraction. I reiterate: find a doc and a dentist who specialize in pediatric issues.

        • Mary you actually sound a pretty reasonable person. If this child is special needs, and this mom can get him to swish with oil for 15 minutes, maybe she missed her calling in life. I don’t want to get into the whole infected and affected dentin stuff regarding topical application of antimicrobials, but let’s just agree she should take the kid to pedodontist who can fix the problem. A google degree in dentistry generally doesn’t work out so well…

    • Find a holistic (biological) dentist!

    • Try WHEATGRASS PULLING instead. Watch this video. This lady (Marie) had some serious dental problems and she fixed them all.

    • Have you read the book Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel?

    • Watch video of Dr. Jerry Terrant, MD on youtube.

    • Get some First Aid Antiseptic, Povidone-Iodine Solution, 10%, 8 ounce bottle, at Walmart. The amount used will depend on how much she uses per rinse. Mix with water. The water should appear clear. The iodine will stain the teeth if it isn’t diluted enough. The iodine kills the cavity causing bacteria.

  13. I’ve been dealing with multiple issues over the past 6 months related to reatreatment of a root canal on a molar (e.g two root canals on one tooth – twenty years apart) that have resulted in in an emergency tooth extraction on Monday. At my young age of 41, I have had over 5 root canals already, including 2 re-treatment procedures.

I’m scared, perplexed, and frustrated of the effects of these actions on my overall health. I feel the infection is still present, and, after 4 different antibiotics and adjusting the bite of the crown, I’m struggling to understand the best course of action moving forward as I troubleshoot this with three different medical professionals (dentist, endodontist, oral surgeon). Thank you for this link, as I need to read more information about these issues, from as many different perspectives as possible to make the best decision about what-to-do next.

In the past six months, I’ve experienced radiating pain along my jaw, chin, and ear bone; been dizzy; sustained inflamed joints in my wrists and ankles, sinus infections, ear pain, loss of energy, bad taste in my mouth, etc. I noticed increased pain if I dare drink a soda, so I felt there must have been a crack or leak that was undetected. The treatment measures have been conservative, trying to pinpoint the issues because the 2d X-ray showed everything was fine. Finally the pressure came to a head on Sunday night, and I demanded the 3d X-ray be moved up.

It showed my tooth was cracked in two different places, underneath the cap. When the oral surgeon pulled #17 out of my mouth after catscan, the tooth came apart in chards. He also knocked the cap of the adjacent tooth off that root canal, and while awaiting the permanent re-seating of that cap, I lost it somehow, not sure if I swallowed it or what.

I am so exhausted and nauseated, I’ve been sleeping in bed all week. This is making difficult to take care of my 3 children and perform my essential duties as stay-at-home mom for my entrepreneurial husband.

I know in my gut, that this is not the end of my pain, but I don’t know what to do next or the most effective course of action, since I’m dealing with 3 different professionals who give me bits and pieces of info at time. I’ve been relying on their professional judgement and tried to be an advocate for myself, but it’s a constant battle.

The cost of everything is on my mind too, so I’m trying to figure out how to make sense of everything — before it becomes another emergency -and – without going into tons of debt to understand what’s happening to my body. I’ve already spent a lot of money and time on root canal treatment, caps, patches, to complete this process on five different teeth. I feel like they’re dominos, one falls, and the the next, and the next. This Meridian chart is insightful to me regarding this feeling.

At any rate, thanks for this link and for providing another important perspective on a perplexing issue.

I don’t know what to do next, so I’m paralyzed in my decision-making (e.g. is the ongoing pain inflammation from work that needs to heal -or- is it signs of continued infection at the bone level). I feel like my only solution now is to read as much info as possible.

Again, thank you for sharing your perspective on these issues.

    • Try Lazer gum therapy. Many people have leftover bad bacteria (can’t remember the name) hanging out at the roots, and don’t know it. Products containing neem are good, also. Try and stay away from fluoride, too. It’s highly toxic to the human body.

    • Your going to want to get all root canal teeth removed by a biological dentist who knows what they are doing. Enjoy the recovery process after this, you will start to feel heaven again.

Hi Liz, I’m working on the aftermath of a root canal (at age 25 by the school of dentistry in San Francisco – which I believe was unnecessary). The tooth (left eye tooth) finally split vertically (at age 70) and I had it extracted. In the process of attempting to have a dental implant into that gap, I ran into trouble with an infection between the gum and the bone that was grafted in. This is common. The dentist (an amazing surgeon who uses ozone gas, ozone water, and ozone oil in all parts of his practice) was disappointed because he did insist I take broad-spectrum antibiotics at intervals during the implant process. So, now I have the titanium screw implanted and the bone graft completed. But I have this persistent infection draining from a hold on the front of my gum above where the tooth used to be. So, since I know a bit about infections I contacted a laboratory at the Eliava Phage Therapy Center in the country Georgia (formerly a part of the soviet union). This is a therapy center that helped customers who had MRSA infection and were unable to resolve these infections in the USA. So, I asked my dentist to make a sample of the infection, and we packed it and shipped it by 2-day FEDEX to Georgia. Eliava received my sample just before Christmas and cultured and analyzed it and they found Streptococcus Mitis. This is a common oral bacteria which likes to attach to dental surfaces. It is not killed or controlled by most antibiotics. I then planned to purchase bacteria phages (the natural virus that kill bacteria). I was told they didn’t have a phage for that one and would have to breed a custom phage. They could do that, but there would be a wait of 2-3 months as they had many other people already in the queue. The cost would be about $4000.00. This has been a blow to my plan. I am still involved in conversation with them, however … The reason I’m telling this to you is … you may not have the same type of bacteria that I have. Eliava has mixtures (they call they phage cocktails) of the more common bacteria that are available. The cost for these are about $2300. The phages are the natural predator of bacteria. For each bacteria there is a phage. The phage hunts the bacteria, injects its dna or rna into the bacteria, and then 200 or so baby phages breed within that bacteria, and then burst it open, killing it. They go forth and each finds another of the only bacteria that they can breed in, they kill in those 200 bacteria and (200×200) new baby phages go forth and this process continues until all the bacteria are killed within your system. The phages then go dormant unless that bacteria re-emerges. Your body excretes them. They cannot damage human cells because they can only enter a particular bacteria. So, if you have the bacteria coming from these teeth analyzed, your would know which phages to get. The Eliava lab is very good at this type of analysis. American labs frequently do not do the job … as I found out from customers with MRSA who also had additional infections that our labs did NOT detect. Eliava did detect all the infections and sent phages that worked to clear up the infections, sometimes saving organs. Now, the infection that I have, S. Mitis, is the main bacteria that causes endocarditis (a heart infection) so I have to eliminate it, I cannot wait. For you, Eliava charged me $100 for the lab work. The shipping cost almost the same amount. But it is worth it to know what microbes you have. AND, even if the microbe becomes drug resistant, as they do after many rounds of antibiotics, the phages still kill them, as they mechanically burst them apart. Here’s a link that explains phage therapy and it’s on Eliava’s website so you can see much. Hope this helps

      • holy shit you people are insane! you are complaining because a tooth lasted you 60 years? what else do you own that has lasted that long? just take the implant out and redo it. and get off the internet!

    • Hi Liz,
There is a “Holistic Oral Health Summit” going on on the internet right now – March 12-19, 2018.
I listened to several dentists talking about root canals and the bacteria that grow in them.
They also talk about wisdom teeth removal and the cavitations that can develop later. You might
find some answers if you listen to the dentists at the summit.
      Good luck to you.

    • Was the 3d xray fine or any thing serious?and did you use any antibiotics tablets before you got pain in the jaw and chin?

    • I am having the same symptoms of root canal nightmares as you are Liz and are so frustrated.
Went to ER due to relocation of new home/job so no dentist yet only to be given Vicodin, antibiotics etc then called for dental appt as was given a January appointment! Agh! It’s August now!
Next I will call the owner of Sacred Clay (look it up) who may have a dentist in Philly who can use Vitamin C intravenous to possibly help clear the rampant infection inside the canal(s). This is serious stuff, I’m worried about the what if’s the infection hits the bloodstream?

My son had a “baby” root canal done when he was 3. At the time, we had no idea that what were were doing was bad. We then took him at the age of 5 to someone advertising to be a holistic dentist and it was removed. That same visit he also received 5 composite fillings. I am now worried because the more I read about root canals and fillings I see we just keep messing up with this child’s mouth. My question is does a baby root canal have to be cleaned out in the same manner as an adult’s or does the new tooth that will come in push it out? Also, do sealants that are applied to children’s teeth wear off at some point or do they need to be removed if we are worried about BPA and Fluoride?

Thank you for the site and information!!! Sure wish I had of know all of this several years ago.

    • Elle Macinata Says: January 16, 2018 at 10:00 am

Hey … I had sealants put on my son’s teeth when he was about 6. Unfortunately they have an estrogenic effect on boys. I wish I had learned that BEFORE I had it done. At this point I feel that the modern “health care” system is VERY DANGEROUS. I’m not sure about the “baby root canal” … the biologic dentist probably knows about that.

      • maybe your son is just a queer? kinda doubt that sealants had anything to do with it.

        • Why are you so angry, that you feel, the need to act like a troll and insult people? Being gay is a normal variant, and your comment of “just a queer” shows prejudice, with no helpful content. These folks are suffering, and you’ve used that to make yourself feel superior. I hope nobody “throws out the baby with the bath water.” There are good holistic dentists and M.D.’s.

          • LOL I came back to this page just to see if anyone bit. Yes I was being a troll. These California folks make it irresistible. No sealants don’t cause boys to be girls or whatever. The kid isn’t suffering. He had some sealants just like millions of other kids. He’s probably pretty darn normal. Now his mom thinks he is going to die because we have such a dangerous health system? It’s hard not to laugh…

        • I’m not sure where exactly being “a queer” would come in here. Prostate cancer, heart disease, and enlarged breasts can all be (partly) traced back to too much estrogen in males. High estrogen can also throw a normal testosterone level off balance, which causes a whole range of other issues. Clearly you have plenty of testosterone though, so I’m not surprised you’re not better informed on this.

          • Lady says sealants have an estrogenic effect on boys (see above comment).
Scenario 1: She read about this on the “internet,” her son is completely fine, and she is just one of many hypochondriacs on this page.
Scenario 2: Her son has started wearing makeup and women’s lingerie, and is demanding people call him Tammy instead of Timmy. She now believes sealants have caused her son’s plight into the future Kaitlyn Jenner.
Yes I’m good on testosterone levels. No I don’t care about men’s enlarged breasts (I’ve seen enough episodes of “My 600lb Life”)
Lastly I genuinely hope the child never has any true medical problems as the above parent will have him swishing with coconut oil and sleeping with an essential oil diffuser in his butt.

Last August, I had a Abscess tooth extracted, beforehand I semi-knew the price I paid but didn’t fully realize until it was removed, I suddenly felt those nerves being ripped from my chest or stomach. I felt chest pain lasted 1 or 2 seconds, then went away, but off and on it stayed, now last October my left side (breast bone) is in pain. I re grate what my mom had me do (she didn’t do any research on the consequences, My mood dropped drastically. Not to mention, I have MS, had it for 9 yrs.

    • Tyler Ess Says: June 13, 2017 at 7:19 pm

Forgot to mention that I got tooth #3 extracted.

    • It’s possibly not the tooth, but any mercury amalgams you have. When you can afford it, get that stuff removed by a dentist who knows how to take precautionary measures for himself and patients, both. And I think you already know that MS can cause all kinds of weird neurologic symptoms and issues, including depression. It doesn’t have to be because of your extraction, even though I wouldn’t rule that out. I’d keep it on the differential diagnosis list with a grain of salt, that a doctor shouldn’t use MS as a catch-all for problems you experience, just because they can’t figure out the real etiology yet.

  16. Mary Ann Callahan Says: June 12, 2017 at 2:13 pm

I had both top wisdom teeth removed and each molar next to these to wisdom teeth extracted. I educated myself about root canals and did not want any dead teeth in my mouth. I feel a little better. Especially my sinuses. But how does this effect my body? My meridians?

  17. Hello, any information on silver fillings causing issues within the meridians? I have silver fillings in both #14 and #15 from childhood and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism as a young adult. If this could be related, what should I do?

    • Sheli, you will be hard pressed to find any scientific evidence, only anecdotal evidence. Your best bet is to find out if you are allergic/sensitive to mercury then have the fillings removed properly. It could be related or it could not. Look at it from a toxicity view and get rid of the toxins if you are being affected by them. Trying to correlate the fillings with meridians is setting yourself up for failure. Dr. Marvin

    • Try to ask your doc for heavy metal testing including chelation, not the standard lab tests that aren’t sensitive enough. Or… this way is cheaper… just go ahead get those amalgams out of your mouth and replace with porcelain. Mercury is a neurotoxin, and usually about fifty percent of a silver amalgam is mercury. There is a bit more than just anecdotal or longitudinal evidence now. And removing that material could rule that out as a cause of your problems, once it’s gone. It’s toxic, get rid of it, find a dentist who knows how to safely do that.

My 11y old daughter’s molar became so bad that the dentist suggested either to do root canal or remove the tooth. What are other options if I wold like to keep her tooth? Firstly I thought that to remove it would be more convenient as there will be no infection but now when I realised that teeth are connected with organs and meridians it may not be the best decision. What would you advice?

    • Try as much raw diet etc. fruits and veggies, singing, if that doesn’t heal it over time which it should, get extracted. Never get a root canal they are the work of pure evil and will ruin lives.

    • Elle Macinata Says: January 16, 2018 at 10:05 am

Check with an expert … that would be a doctor of oriental medicine. He or she can evaluate how the meridian connected to that tooth is doing. It is my experience that the meridians effect the teeth. That would mean that the meridian that goes through that tooth may be weak. That would be why that tooth is compromised. The tooth degeneration is a symptom of the meridian problem.

  22. I find this so interesting and I am a dental hygienist. What is the thought for implants? Are they ok? Just don’t like to see no options for tooth replacement especially if it’s anterior.

  23. My mouth is full of root canals and crowns. what would you do to fix this and what is your way of replacing a tooth? Do you then make a partial or false teeth?

    • Penni, There are way too many options (biocompatibility, location in mouth, function, esthetics, durability etc) to make a recommendation without a full exam and radiographs. That’s why you need to find a dentist that understands any and all options for you. Sorry for being so vague but there are way too many variables. Dr. Marvin

  24. Hi there!

I have been told that my daughter needs braces. This requires the removal of 4 healthy premolars and also some oral surgery to pull a canine tooth up from below the gum.

What effect does the removal of healthy premolars have on the associated meridians.

I would deeply appreciate a prompt reply, if at all possible.

    thank you

Please, do not let ANYONE remove your daughters molars. Her mood and her appearance will change drastically and for worse. Please go to the website claiming power, look up Raymond Silkman and read his website, and find a more holistically minded orthodontist who will NOT remove molars, which are entire organs. This horrible orthodontic practice ruins people’s lives. I have had issues from my orthodontics for 20 years and eventually lost my opera career because my bite and neck got so far off. These days, there are excellent orthodontists who use things like an ALF device and damon braces to widen the palate. The removal of healthy teeth will not only damage meridians, but also can be a disaster neuro-muscularly. Don’t worry, lots of great people out there. Try calling Anna Patras or Barry Raphael (REALLY nice man) in New Jersey for referrals to someone in your area.

    • That sounds pretty dam extreme. Why would you need to remove all those healthy teeth for braces. Use your head, does that sound right to you? I’m tired of you lazy ass parents not doing any research and just taking their word without question. You posted this because something is so glaringly wrong and your subconcious is screaming at you don’t do it!!

      • Just to clarify, so if you had your wisdom teeth removed (unfortunately) then I am assuming you’d start counting your bottom molars are 31 as an example on the bottom right? Thanks so much great info!

  26. Every time I see a tooth-organ chart I wonder whether it is numbered from a dentist’s perspective looking down into the mouth or from my perspective as the owner. I.e., whose left and whose right????? Can someone in the know clarify?

    • It’s really both. It’s from the “owner’s” perspective. The right side is the right side of your own mouth. You’ll notice that the chart above is shown from the perspective of the dentist. As he or she looks into your mouth, the right side of your teeth will be on their left. Hope that helps!

    • Dentists perspective
#1 is your upper right 3 rd molar ( wisdom tooth)
      16 is your upper left
      17 is your lower left
      32 is yourlower right

    • It is numbered from a frontal point of view.
      The dentist looks at you.
Under you right eye is the first quadrant in the upper jaw, under the left eye the second, lower left side of the jaw is the third quadrant, right lower jaw is the fourth quadrant. It is from the viewer’s point of view from the front, not from the owner’s.
